KORY K. SHIMEK

Kory K. Shimek is a dedicated Michigan trial attorney who has built his career on hard work, integrity, and a relentless commitment to achieving results for his clients. Born and raised in beautiful Leelanau County—home of the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes—Kory learned the value of perseverance early on while working each season on his family’s cherry farm.

After graduating from Glen Lake High School, where he played varsity football and basketball, Kory earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship from Davenport University and later graduated Cum Laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. While in law school, he gained hands-on experience as a paralegal in bankruptcy and family law—knowledge he would later use to launch his own practice.

In 2014, Kory founded Shimek Law Firm, PLLC, with one mission: to provide skilled, personalized legal representation to individuals and businesses throughout Michigan. Over the years, his firm has successfully handled over two thousand cases across a wide range of legal matters, including:
