Shuriz P. Hishmeh

Shuriz P. Hishmeh II is a dedicated Michigan attorney who brings courtroom experience, strong legal training, and a commitment to thoughtful and effective advocacy to his practice. Originally born and raised on Long Island, New York, Shuriz developed an interest in the law and public service before moving to Michigan to pursue his legal career.

Shuriz earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from Adelphi University before graduating from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. During law school, he developed a particular interest in litigation, family law, and wills, trusts, and estates, while gaining practical experience through his work in private practice.

After graduating from law school, Shuriz joined the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, where he spent a year gaining substantial courtroom experience. As a prosecutor, he handled cases ranging from misdemeanor offenses to life-offense felonies, providing him with firsthand experience evaluating cases, preparing for court, negotiating resolutions, and advocating before judges. This experience gave Shuriz a strong foundation in litigation and a practical understanding of how cases progress through the court system.

Shuriz brings this courtroom experience to his practice at Shimek Law Firm, PLLC, where he assists clients with a variety of legal matters. He has a particular interest in Family Law, and Probate & Estate Matters, and is committed to helping clients navigate difficult legal issues with clear advice and effective representation.

Outside of practicing law, Shuriz enjoys rock climbing, spending time with his wife and family, and playing chess.
